When In Doubt, Listen To Man With Longer Beard #30: Meditation, Aphorisms & Yoga Sage Brushes With Wisdom

$30* Off on International Flights

What follows is a grocery list of things I've learned from life and various approaches to living exploring Creativity & Spirituality---being an artist, student of meditation, regular fasting & yoga, internal yearning towards higher consciousness and becoming a more creative being for positive transformation. These are general principles and observations I try to live by and navigate the wilderness of Maya with. Some are Confucius sounding hence the jest with the title if the long bearded Chinese sage wanted to narcissistically self--aggrandize himself.

Here's the thirtieth batch of Zen Brownies---Tasty, mouth--watering morsels to reduce consumption of bad karma and sweeten the recipe of your life:

1. We outgrow people. We outgrow things. We outgrow identities. Most often, no one will tell you when that identity is too small for you. Avoid the advice of those afraid of losing who they need you to be at the expense of your growth.

2. Religion in the hands of tribal groups, cultures, and societies is often a dangerous thing. It creates a rigid exclusivity, a mob and hive mentality more willing to engage in violence while suppressing self individualization and personal growth.

3. Don't let your happiness and dreams be sacrificed to the false god of appearances.

4. Most people aren't aware of what they're creating. Most of the time it's chaos, duality, and separation from harmony. Unconscious creation from all these uncontrolled rampant conflicting thoughts and emotions makes them prisoners in the jail without walls they unknowingly create for themselves.

5. There are consequences to thoughts and actions beyond what is seen and experienced in this world. Laws are for those asleep to the realities of Karma.

6. What you haven't defeated in your youth becomes more pronounced and powerful with age. Becoming more Spiritually mature and aware means realizing the oil spills of your inner chaos out in the world are your responsibility to clean up and cap at the source.

7. If you knew how long it took you to get to this point in your Existence, you wouldn't so willingly slide down the ladder of de--evolution chasing material things and material pleasures.

8. Visit India, and one of two things will happen after you return: Your life will completely get better or your life will completely fall apart then get better. Either way it's because the you that returned is no longer compatible with the you that came before.

9. Beginning to cry for things beyond this world is happiness for a Yogi. Crying for things other than the bondage of the body, it's material needs, desires and attachments, is the sound of connecting to Higher Freedoms.

10. All the accolades, degrees, rewards, wealth, admiration, and success in the world is small compared to achieving constant contact with the Illuminating Void, the Lightless Light, the Divine Womb of Emptiness.

When In Doubt, Listen To Man With Longer Beard #28: Meditation, Aphorisms & Yoga Sage Brushes With Wisdom

What follows is a grocery list of things I’ve learned from life and various approaches to living exploring Creativity & Spirituality—being an artist, student of meditation, regular fasting & yoga, internal yearning towards higher consciousness and becoming a more creative being for positive transformation. These are general principles and observations I try to live by and navigate the wilderness of Maya with. Some are Confucius sounding hence the jest with the title if the long bearded Chinese sage wanted to narcissistically self–aggrandize himself.

Here’s the twenty–eighth batch of Zen BrowniesTasty, mouth–watering morsels to reduce consumption of bad karma and sweeten the recipe of your life:

1. Giving with expectation isn’t giving. Doing so is giving on ego loan.

2. The less information given, the less life experience and perspective acquired, the more likely to form the suggested opinion.

3. The dreams of defeated people turn into the anti–aircraft guns for yours.

4. Reading and memorizing Scripture is only a beginner’s step. At some point you have to graduate to the practice of some higher technique like Meditation and mantras.

5. Feeling equally at home in motion and stillness is the sign of an evolving Soul.

6. Divinity will appear in the desert of your thoughts and senses.

7. If you do not like how the world is, begin meditating and you will improve it in ways beyond what your logical mind can conceive. You’ll also evolve out of this level of existence long before it will perfect itself.

8. In the solitude of Meditation, you’ll meet deeper levels of yourself.

9. You can outgrow the entire human experience like you outgrow a toy. To outsiders it may look like renunciation or deprivation, but in reality it simply became the next version of playing with trucks in the sandbox.

10. My culture showed me what I think I wanted. My Gurus reminded me what I really wanted.

Here’s the twenty–fifth batch of Zen BrowniesTasty, mouth–watering morsels to reduce consumption of bad karma and sweeten the recipe of your life:

1. Music, art, travel, and meditation are the highs that keep you high.

2. If you’re not becoming successful, try thinking differently than your thoughts. They may be worn out hand me downs from your ancestors that didn’t work for them either—still running in you long after they clocked out of life here.

3. Opinions are a lot easier to acquire than Higher Consciousness.

4. There are Freedoms that cannot be acquired by passing laws. Freedom of Speech and Freedom of Religion are just the basic entry level stuff. Freedom from thought and emotion, Freedom from disease and aging, Freedom from Karma and ancestral interference, and Freedom from the human condition cannot be acquired with the ink from a pen. They can be acquired over time with the regular dedicated practice of Meditation.

5. Success without Spiritual practice leads to ego, arrogance, and addictions.

6. More often than not, people tend to look outside themselves for happiness—to lasso something “permanent” to make them feel better whether it’s other people, possessions, status, whatever. Find it within and the search is over where it’s actually hard not to be happy. Don’t delude and entangle yourself in the many ways of temporary happiness in this world.

7. One wish? Simple. That I not be allowed to slip into the sleep of this level of consciousness ever again. That one wish will encompass all others you can conceive of from where you are now. You’ll even find you’ve outgrown earlier wishes and fantasy scenarios as they’ll no longer be seen as goals or successes from a higher plateau. They’ll be seen for what they are: The dreams of someone who was asleep.

8. We’re all essentially heavier forms of light here and the diet of all diets is meditation.

9. Sovereign Beings don’t need sovereign countries. They can be sovereign in a dictatorship. They are the model to transcend the social and power structures created by lower consciousness. They are the living trump card in this world and no amount of wealth and power can cage them because they exist outside small minded structures and human equations.

10. Think about what this world looks like to Higher Beings: Anyone doing a serious dedicated Spiritual practice on a daily basis on this planet sticks out like a sore thumb. There’s not a lot of competition for attention from Higher Beings so the odds are in your favor if you start.

Here's the twenty--third batch of Zen Brownies---Tasty, mouth--watering morsels to reduce consumption of bad karma and sweeten the recipe of your life:

1. Unplugging from thoughts and senses with daily periods of silence and stillness in meditation will make you more intelligent and creative. All things grow in silence.

2. It's better to be a student on higher dimensions than king of an anthill here.

3. You can create a life that's uniquely you. You can make your own roads, your own rites of passage. It doesn't cost that much money. It just takes the skill of not being too concerned with what people may say or think about you. Caged birds only sing because that's all they know.

4. Music, meditation, and travel all feed into each other and are infinite mines to deeper growth and inspiration.

5. Fear and ego lead to bowing to the wrong things in life.

6. Even with all the wealth in the world, the Human experience still has ceilings. There is more to Existence than being Human.

7. Take life by the reins before Arthritis sets in.

8. Even if you cannot change things, you can always change your perception of them.

9. Truth is often hindered by popular belief.

10. Meditation never ends. If even the Avatars have to do the work here, what makes people think they are somehow off the hook?

These are general principles and observations I try to live by and navigate the wilderness of Maya with. Here's the seventeenth batch of Zen Brownies---Tasty, mouth--watering morsels to reduce consumption of bad karma and sweeten the recipe of your life:

1. Instead of spending your time and energy being a product of the times, practice meditation and become a product of the timeless.

2. You aren't what you own. You aren't what you do either.

3. Observe your feelings and thoughts daily and realize this posse in your head isn't your real nature. It's acquired moss as we rolled down the hill of life.

4. Souls get buried in the noise of the masses. Souls get buried in the dreams of the the masses.

5. Never assume that because someone is in an adult body that they are mentally, emotionally and psychologically an adult.

6. You can conquer the world and still be a victim.

7. Authentic confident people don't need to toot their horns, control or intimidate in any way. People who use those tactics are usually trying to hide something about themselves.

8. Only when there's no more "yous" in you are you the real you.

9. If you don't confront things in life when you're young, they'll get stronger and overtake you with time.

10. Time by itself won't give you Enlightenment. Time by itself won't evolve you. Time puts out fires, it doesn't start them. Learn the art of turning the spine into a flamethrower.

Here’s the sixth batch of Zen BrowniesTasty, mouth–watering morsels to reduce consumption of bad karma and sweeten the recipe of your life:

1. It’s not your fault others don’t know how to dream. Be wary of cold shoulders directed at you for reminding them of that.

2. If you get up after you’re knocked down, you’re still in the fight.

3. Creativity is better than competition. Bringing something new into existence is better than being the best at something that already exists.

4. Life is about doing things that make one’s heart smile.

5. People tend to always look outside themselves for happiness, lasso something “permanent” to make them feel better whether it’s other people, money, possessions, status, whatever. Find it within and the search is over.

Kobo Inc.

6. Beyond the noise of thoughts and emotions, life is more beautiful, peaceful and serene.

7. I don’t care to impress people nor be a prisoner of needing to be liked to validate my existence. A vast multidimensional non–linear consciousness already decided that aeons ago so mortal opinions pale to matter in comparison and no amount of accolades from people will liberate me or give me what I’m truly after.

8. I can’t make anyone ready to live the life I lead. The only thing that truly matters in this lifetime is that I am ready.

9. You can squeeze more blood out of stones than gain wisdom from what the status quo tells you.

10. Give what you can give then let go. Detach yourself from results, detach yourself from Thank Yous. You might not receive it in this lifetime. You might not receive it in this dimension. This is linear time and linear consciousness, dysfunctional by it’s very nature. But the package you gave to someone will be returned to sender later. The Universe will thank you and compound the interest for your patience and generosity.

Here's the fifth batch of Zen Brownies---Tasty, mouth--watering morsels to reduce consumption of bad karma and sweeten the recipe of your life:

1. Daily practice adds up to more than beliefs ever will.

2. The Cool Flame burns Eternal. Conserve your Life Energy, unplug from your senses, thoughts and emotions and turn inwards to meditation and stillness daily. No shortage of anything in this world like stillness...

3. Consciousness is the currency of the Universe not gold, money, or material things.

4. In Meditation, there is no "For better or worse, for richer or poorer, in sickness and in health"---it's always better, richer, healthier...

5. One world's misfit is another world's Swan.

Kobo Inc.

6. Fame won't fill the holes in your Soul.

7. Nothing massages the mind like music and meditation.

8. The real gold in this Universe is working with higher forms of energy where a lot more can be done in a lot less time instead of being stuck in lethargic 3rd dimensional reality.

9. When you compare all the ways to get high, meditation has the best price.

10. It's all just a window through the train of time. Scenes pass, people get on, people get off. Few stay on for the duration to the final destination because they can't see it's even there. What they see are only the heads of the people in front of them and the faces of those behind them. At every stop, passengers get off to join crowds at different life stations for momentary laughs and smiles. But the few in the back who've rode the train for aeons whispered to me, "Let them go...they're not like you...just don't get off the train early."

Here’s the third batch of Zen BrowniesTasty, mouth–watering morsels to reduce consumption of bad karma and sweeten the recipe of your life:

1. Spirituality is about becoming the song itself not squabbling over different editions of sheet music.

2. Learn the art of non–attachment and not having expectations outside oneself. Then everything’s a gift instead of a disappointment.

3. There is no greater joy in existence than to keep connecting to higher and higher consciousness.

4. Your decisions not only affect others. They also indicate about what you think of yourself. If your decisions do not say you deserve better ask yourself why not. Fear will always rope you into settling for less.

5. Don’t wait for a license to enjoy life from someone else or for external circumstances to magically change.

Kobo Inc.

6. Realize you’ll grow more by being with and around people more advanced than you. If you’re intimidated, not comfortable being around them or feel you don’t deserve to be, you’ll slow your own growth.

7. Poverty begins when one forgets the experience of feeling joy for no external reason.

8. Inspiration is better than envy. Be inspired by people better, smarter, more talented than you and don’t think you don’t deserve to be around them. Envy and fear will prevent your further growth.

9. Divine beings aren’t going to shout louder than your thoughts, senses, and emotions. You have to learn how to turn these off through meditation.

10. There’s grades above what all formal schooling can teach you. It’s up to you if you want to stay in school or not. Ask the question, “What comes after normal adulthood?” and the Universe will widen it’s smile at you.
